Privacy Policy
Resume RedTeam helps you capture job postings, compare them against your resume, and decide which jobs are worth pursuing. This is your data, and you stay in control of it. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your information.
The short version: this is your data. We use the resumes and jobs you give us only to run the features you ask for, and your saved information is encrypted while it is stored. We never sell it or use it to train AI models. And you have a right to be forgotten — delete your account whenever you want, and your information leaves our live systems right away and our backups within 30 days.
Your data, and your right to be forgotten
This is your data. You decide what you share, you can delete any of it whenever you like, and you can delete your whole account at any time — we have built in a right to be forgotten.
When you delete your account, your information is removed from our live systems immediately and clears our backups within 30 days as they rotate. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone: because your data is stored encrypted, deleting it throws away the only key that can unlock it, so even a copy still sitting in a backup cannot be read.
Your information is protected
Your saved information — resumes, captured jobs, reviews, target board, contacts, and salary minimum — is encrypted while it is stored, so it is not kept in plain, readable form.
You also choose how much is kept: Maximum Privacy deletes your reviews when you log out; Saved Workspace keeps them, encrypted, so you can return to them; and Passphrase Lock adds a passphrase only you know, so that only you can open your saved workspace. With Passphrase Lock on, you get a one-time recovery code to keep somewhere safe — and if you lose both it and your passphrase, no one, including us, can open your saved reviews.
No service can promise perfect security, so don’t upload anything you would not want processed by Resume RedTeam.
What we work with
We work with what you give us: your resumes, the job postings you capture or paste, and the job-search workflow you build around them — saved jobs, ratings, notes, outreach contacts, reviews, and a salary minimum if you set one — plus the basics needed to run your account, like your email and sign-in status. We use it to do the things you asked for: save your jobs, compare them to your resume, run reviews, show your results back to you, and keep the service secure and working.
The browser extension
The extension captures a job posting when you choose to save it. It reads the current tab only when you open the extension or capture a job, and it sends the posting — title, company, location, page link, and text — along with your selected resume and rating, only when you click save. It uses your normal sign-in and never reads your email, files, passwords, or unrelated browsing.
How AI is used
Resume RedTeam uses AI to help analyze your resume and job postings and produce your triage and review results. Your resume and the job posting may be sent to AI providers only to generate the analysis you asked for. We do not use your content to train AI models — ours or our providers'. AI providers process your content only to generate your results, under terms that do not permit training on it, and the review engine is tested and tuned against synthetic resumes and postings, never your content. AI can be wrong, so always check its suggestions before you rely on them.
Signing in and cookies
You can sign in with email, Google, or LinkedIn; when you use Google or LinkedIn, we receive only what is needed to sign you in, not your contacts or unrelated account data. If you choose to remember a device for 30 days, we store a sign-in cookie so you do not need a new code on that device during that time. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other sites.
Providers and legal
We use providers — for hosting, security, email, and AI — only to operate Resume RedTeam, never to sell your data. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service against fraud or abuse.
The live demo and the beta waitlist
The live demo runs in a temporary workspace with fictional profiles. The posting you paste is not saved to any account or kept as a target, and the workspace and its processing data are removed automatically after the session.
If you apply for a founding-beta seat, we collect what the form asks — your name, email, and your answers about your search — and use it only to manage beta invitations and seats. Applying does not add you to a marketing list, and you can ask us to delete your application at any time at [email protected].
